August Round-Up: What We Did Last Month
At CaliUnity, every month feels full of progress, connection, and community. Training is at the heart of what we do, but the memories go far beyond the sessions themselves.
Training Milestones
Members hit their first push-ups, pull-ups, and held planks longer in our Skills & Strength and Reps & Sets sessions.
Coaches introduced new progressions to help everyone push past plateaus, especially in handstands and ring-skills.
Recovery and mobility were a focus, making sure we’re not just stronger — but moving better too.
A Well-Deserved Sauna Trip
We took time to recharge with a trip to Black Swan Sauna in Bath. Cold dips were conquered, coffee was enjoyed at Wild Herb Café, and the whole afternoon reminded us why recovery and community are just as important as the workouts.
Teen Girls Event
Our wonderful Community Manager, Mel, organised a handful of rave-review summer workshops for teen girls, so popular that it’s now becoming a recurring event! These sessions are part of an outreach project from the Cali Foundation, aligning with our mission of making fitness, health and wellbeing accessible to everyone.
Women’s Power-Hour Event
We teamed up with Peachaus, a local women’s activewear and underwear brand, to host a bra-fitting event in our gym space for women and teens. It went grand, a great turn-out, and we can’t wait to work with them again!
Beyond the Gym
Our nutrition conversations with Laura supported members in making small, sustainable food changes.
Stress management and sleep improvement were popular topics in check-ins this month (probably because of summer hols 😂). True health is about the bigger picture, not just the reps.
Community socials meant more laughs, friendships, and accountability outside of training.
What Our Members Say
Looking Ahead
Each month brings progress and new reasons to celebrate. From training wins to community events, we’re proud of what we’ve built together — and we can’t wait to see what the next month holds.
Speaking of next month, here’s some exciting things to look forward to:
Our official status as a CIC (Community Interest Company) is going forwards
We’re now qualified to train people to become Personal Trainers
We’ve got an exciting nutrition seminar coming up with our in-house nutritionist, Laura
Last, but not least, we’re pushing sponsorships for our new - and Bath’s first ever - outdoor calisthenics gym space, right next to our CaliUnity gym on Walcot Street
