Our story

From pain, to purpose.

People helped us. We learned to help others. Then we built a community. We built the gym first by becoming Bath’s gold standard in transformation coaching. Then we asked a bigger question: what if that same model could fund something far beyond the gym itself?

Our founder's story Origin

Two lives that did not fit

Ollie and Kiera both came through their own struggles with confidence, identity and feeling out of place. Training became structure, belief, belonging - and proof that life could feel different.

2018 First reps

Helping before it was a business

Before Cali was a brand, it was just help - parks, borrowed spaces, free sessions, honest advice and reps. We started by helping people for free because that was the clearest way to be useful.

2019 Community

Community became the point

Small sessions turned into regular classes across Bath. Calisthenics was the vehicle, but community was always the real product. That’s why our belief is Stronger Together.

2020 Lockdown

Lockdown proved what people really needed

Free live classes. Free guides. Free support. That period made one thing obvious: people didn’t just need workouts - they needed standards, connection, and someone in their corner.

2022 The engine

The gym became the engine

We opened our first space because the community needed a home. Coaching got better. Systems got stronger. The gym became award-winning - coaching done properly.

2025 Movement

From a gym to a movement

We became a CIC not-for-profit. We built Cali Yard. We backed schools, free teen classes, free resources and wider access. Cali stopped being “just a gym” and became a statement about what fitness - and business - should look like.

Stronger Spaces creates public places where people can move their body, build confidence and feel part of something bigger. It started with Cali Yard — our free calisthenics park next to the gym — funded with the help of local partners who believed in the mission.

It gives Bath a free place to train, learn and connect — whether someone is just getting started, rebuilding confidence, or already loves movement.

Stronger Teens gives young people the support many never receive: movement, encouragement, confidence and a positive way to connect with their body.

Through free sessions at CaliUnity and in local schools, we help teens get stronger, feel more capable and build a healthier relationship with themselves that lasts well beyond the gym floor.

Bringing Cali to people wherever they are.

Is this for beginners?

Yes. Most people start as beginners. We meet you where you’re at, scale everything, and build you up step-by-step. The goal is simple: leave each week stronger, more confident, and with a plan you can actually follow.

What if I’m in pain / coming back from injury?

That’s normal — and it’s exactly where good coaching matters. We’ll work around pain, rebuild capacity, and focus on movement quality, smart progressions and consistency. If something needs specialist input, we’ll point you in the right direction.

Do I have to join the gym to use the free projects?

No. The free projects are built for the city. Use them, share them, bring a friend — they exist to make strength more accessible in Bath.

What’s the difference between free projects vs premium pathway?

The free projects help you get started: spaces, sessions, resources and community support. The premium pathway is for people who want the full coaching experience — structure, accountability, and a clear outcome. And yes: premium coaching funds more free impact.
